After you apply
Once you've submitted your application for degree, you'll receive an email confirming its receipt. This is what happens next:
Pending transfer credits
Undergraduate students: Do you have transfer credit or CLEP scores? Missing credits may delay your degree certification. Make sure your transfer credits are on your record. If missing, see Transfer Credit FAQ for help.
Degree certification
After grades are posted, your primary program and college must certify your degree. This is a detailed process, and each student must be carefully reviewed.
-
This typically occurs 2-4 weeks after the last day of finals.
-
The Office of the Registrar will post your degree(s) to your record.
-
An email is sent to alert you that your degree is awarded.
Transcripts and diplomas
-
If needed, you can request a transcript showing your degree at Transcript Requests. Make sure your degree is awarded before ordering a transcript.
-
Diplomas are mailed regular U.S. mail 2 weeks after your degree is awarded, and transit time is usually 1-2 weeks.
-
You will receive an email notification to your WSU email when your CeDiploma is available to download.
Need to update your address?
- If your address is changing (especially if you are in WSU housing): Please complete the Address and/or Phone Number Change form.
- In addition to changing your university mailing address, changes to your diploma mailing address should be sent to graduation@wayne.edu.
